"One listen to the Wiggins Sisters will tell you why they’ve won so many songwriting awards. Their sensitive and intelligent songs show a broad range and a fancy for variety. Some of their songs are about real world topics, and others evoke foot stompin' fun. Their lyrics evoke crystal clear visual images set off by a comfortable musical style that showcases their country blues and folk influence on their work"
Terry Schommer, NY Times Herald Record

"Their music moves me deeply. Their new album is a huge leap musically and lyrically"
Marilyn Rae Beyer, PD WUMB/Boston

"The Wiggins Sisters go about the business of making music quietly, gently and very professionally. If you haven’t heard of them yet, you will. They write songs full of depth that sing in your head long after the music’s over…"
Dan Woog, Westport News

"...those luscious harmonies…"

"Their new CD ‘minnesota’ is simply great. It evokes the spirit of Austin Texas and reminds me of some of the other great music of that great city"
Joerg Jokisch, German Radio

"The Wiggins sisters officially come of age with their second release ‘minnesota’. It’s a sophisticated effort full of, naturally enough, sibling close harmonies and catchy, folk-pop tunes. The duo’s sound has been given a shot of adrenaline by the Austin-based producer and steel guitar whiz Lloyd Maines. 'minnesota' leaves the obvious Indigo Girls comparisons behind with their bluesy, Texas country palette of sounds, and accent on instrumentation over complicated vocal arrangements"
Joshua Mamis, New Haven Advocate

"This disc shows an exceedingly dynamic pair of singing sisters with the potential to go to the farthest reaches of the folk/pop world. It's even hard to limit them to that niche however, because they have the type of magic that can transend all barriers. Except for the strong heartfelt version of Jimmy LaFave's 'Desperate Men' (to which he adds backing vocals) and Will T. Massey's 'You Take the Town' all the songs are self-penned. The ominous toned talking blues of 'Killing America's Soul' and the lilting rythms of 'Ireland' are highlights. The songwriting is strong and the musicianship and arrangements on the disc are excellent thanks to the expert production hand of Lloyd Maines and some well known musicians including John Inmom, Paul Pearcy, Darcy Deauville, and Gene Elders. This is a very good CD that bodes well for the future of this promising duo.

"A classy sister act with amazingly wonderful self-penned songs that feature a tantalizing variety of styles and harmonies"

"After all these years it takes something special to impress me……I thoroughly enjoyed the new CD ‘minnesota’ by the Wiggins Sisters. ‘Saturday Afternoons’ is just a killer song; ‘Boys from New Jersey’, ‘Ireland’ and ‘Killing America’s Soul’ aren’t far behind."
Arthur Wood, ‘The Kerrville Chronicle’ London, England

"Mizzy & Casey Wiggins have a homespun sound that is immediately endearing...tight harmonies and defiant lyrics. Their debut CD should win them quite a few fans...From the opening jangle, the disc ‘minnesota’ totally engages the listener. More rockin than their first CD, it is my pick for best album this year. Even Linda and Emmylou don’t come close to the harmony sounds of Mizzy and Casey Wiggins. Mizzy’s throaty vocals can tear through the blues while Casey's shines singing solo. The tunes are catchy, the lyrics meaningful and thought provoking. The sisters have taken their sound further, gaining new ground and a certain maturing of their artistry. You can take it to the bank, its only a matter of time before these two get their well deserved place on today’s music scene."
Meathook Williams, Vmag, Northampton, MA
